Paramount’s big-budget Hollywood adaptation of Masamune Shirow’s legendary manga series Ghost in the Shell has attracted attention for a lot of reasons — and they’re not all good. The manga has been adapted into several animated movies and TV shows since its 1989 debut, and they’ve all deviated from the source material a bit.
